\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tLinda Lampi is a retired teacher from the San Bernardino City Unified School District. She acquired\nher BA, Teaching Credential, and MA from California State University, San Bernardino. During her\nthirty-nine years as an educator, Mrs. Lampi had many roles. Besides being a teacher in elementary\nand middle schools, she also was a Resource Teacher, a Reading Support Teacher, and a Bilingual\nFacilitator. During her teaching career, Linda Lampi received the Arrowhead Reading Award three\ntimes from Cal State San Bernardino. She specialized in teaching reading to all types of students\nfrom remedial learners to high achievers. She even taught the ABC names and sounds to preschool\nstudents as young as three years old. Mrs. Lampi loves to be creative while teaching reading. It all\nstarted when first graders entered her classroom and did not know their letters. Mrs. Lampi drew\nthe letter \u201cW\u201d on the board and put shoes on it. She said, \u201cLook, it is Walking W.\u201d The concept of\nConsonant Creatures was born! From then on, Linda Lampi developed imaginative ways of bringing\nthe letters to life making them easy and fun to learn.
